The first structure involved in the project will be the Urban Laboratory of Putignano Imake, located in the former slaughterhouse in the municipality of Putignano (IT) and already partly restored and equipped with funds through the program of the Laboratory of Urban “Hot Spirits.” The area will be further functionalized by hosting the majority of the workshops and the Academy of project activities. The rooms of the laboratory currently under construction, will be equipped as rehearsal rooms and recording studios, offices will be equipped with the organizational management of events and will set up a huge space for entertainment and aggregation to be used for performances and events. In agreement with the Consortium (which currently manages the property), there are also some more structural interventions for the completion of the restoration. This intervention will be carried out in a modular fashion, allowing the use of existing space also throughout the project.

The second structure involved in the project will be the Urban Laboratory of Alberobello G-Lan, Genius Loci Trulli part of the project financed by the program of the Region of Puglia “Hot Spirits.” Ganius Loci Trulli was presented by the municipalities of Alberobello, Noci and Locorotondo and Alberobello provided for the construction of a community center where young people gather characterized by wide open spaces and voted to accommodate flexible activities that require the articulation of modular spaces of dimension variable. In the Laboratory, G-Lan will be organized part of the activities of the Academy, with particular reference to the music section and the theater – dance.

The third structure involved in the project will be the Mediateca Pugliese, a dive site in the initiation of the contemporary media. The media library Apulia Regional retains today one of the largest and most valuable archives of original movie posters (from the ’10s of the last century), whose catalog is available online and viewable live on site. In Media Library are available today between 33,811 movie posters and photographs; between 409 films, documentaries and audio materials, 3,155 books and magazines, mainly on film, video and television. At the Mediatheque will be organized all project activities dedicated to the Cinema section promoted by the Apulia Film Commission.

GAL (Local Action Group) “Terra dei Trulli e del Barsento” is an agency promoted by the European Approach called “Leader”. It can count on 41 partners (municipalities, local banks, government agencies, associations, private business) and on a dock action involving the municipalities of Putignano, Castellana Grotte, Alberobello, Noci, Gioia del Colle and Sammichele di Bari. The goal main of the GAL is to ensure the development of a territory with strong rural character and its promotion in terms of territorial marketing and communication. The GAL is an agency of certified quality and its management structure ensures the proper use of public funds, funds which are the main source of income of the organization. In addition, the City of Putignano, a member of the GAL and the Management Committee of “IMAKE” will be involved in the realization of an important part of the project activities.

Apulia Film Commission was founded in 2007 with the aim of attracting audiovisual productions thanks to the competitiveness of the services, the professionalism of the workers and the lowering of costs for travel, cast, crew and location scouting the territory. The Apulia Film Commission Foundation counts among members between 26 provinces and municipalities in Puglia. The Foundation promotes the development of film culture in the region and support the audiovisual industry through the “Centro Studi, training and research on cinema and audiovisual” created to facilitate training activities, networking and scientific stimulation to movies studies, carried out in collaboration with universities and regional centers of excellence. For Apulia Film Commission is also responsible for the new Media Apulian of Bari, destined to become together with the two Cineporti of Puglia, the pole of education and research for future filmmakers and citizens of Puglia.

Preveza (in greek Πρέβεζα) is a town located in the periphery of Epirus in Greece (peripheral unit of Preveza) with 30,137 inhabitants. Located in north-western Greece, at the mouth of the Gulf of Ambracia, today is a seaside resort and also has a small industrial harbor. The town was founded as a result of the abandonment of the nearby town greek-Roman city of Nicopolis of Epirus, whose remains are still visible at about 6 km north of Preveza. It was under Venetian rule for many years. It was taken by the Ottomans in 1530. In the waters off the town was fought September 28, 1538 a major naval battle between the Ottoman fleet which he defeated the Christian organized at the urging of Pope Paul III. The Municipality of Preveza has a fair amount of experience in the implementation of community projects. Some examples are: Leader +, OASIS Conference Center, Naval Museum, Metropolitan Area Network.

IMAKE PROJECT

logoIMAKE è un progetto di cooperazione internazionale, finanziato dall’E.T.C.P. Grecia – Italia  2007/2013, nato per valorizzare con i territori della Grecia, in particolare con il comune di Preveza, esperienze giovanili di successo e già presenti sul territorio pugliese, come il programma di politiche giovanili denominato “Bollenti Spiriti”. Lo scopo del progetto è dunque quello di ripartire da tali esperienze, rafforzando tuttavia la creatività urbana nei settori dell’arte, della musica, del teatro e dei linguaggi giovanili.

 Il progetto IMAKE è promosso dal GAL “Terra dei Trulli e di Barsento”, territorio composto da 7 comuni della provincia barese (Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Gioia del Colle, Noci, Putignano, Sammichele di Bari, Turi), in qualità di ente capofila, con la partnership dell’Apulia Film Commission e del Comune greco di Preveza.

ASSI DI INTERVENTO

1) Attraverso un fitto programma di seminari, workshop e laboratori multidisciplinari, IMAKE intende specializzare figure professionali in diverse discipline dello spettacolo (in particolare cinema, musica e teatro) e sviluppare in tal modo strategie sinergiche a supporto della creatività giovanile.

2)  Al termine dei percorsi formativi è prevista l’organizzazione di due edizioni del Festival Internazionale delle Arti (in programma sia in Italia che in Grecia) per la diffusione dei nuovi linguaggi artistici sperimentati durante la fase formativa.

3) Imake intende inoltre continuare a valorizzare le buone prassi già presenti da alcuni anni nei comuni italiani di Putignano ed Alberobello (attraverso il restauro e l’avvio operativo di 2 strutture comunali a lungo abbandonate ed oggi utilizzate per promuovere l’aggregazione giovanile e la produzione artistica). Nel progetto sono previsti, infatti, interventi di rigenerazione urbana, attraverso il completamento del restauro della struttura presente nel Comune di Putignano (l’ex macello di Putignano oggi Laboratorio Urbano gestito dal Consorzio IMAKE).

4) Il progetto I MAKE prevede inoltre l’organizzazione di una giornata studio dedicata interamente alla cooperazione internazionale (European Cooperation Day), al fine di evidenziare il ruolo della progettazione transnazionale ed interregionale nel campo della coesione culturale tra regioni europee. All’interno del Festival è previsto lo svolgimento del Laboratorio “Mediterraneo sulla Cooperazione” condotto dall’Assessorato al Mediterraneo, in partnership con il GAL Terra dei Trulli e Barsento, Apulia Film Commission, Puglia Sounds e Autorità di Gestione ETCP Greece-Italy.  Al Laboratorio parteciperanno tutti i corsisti coinvolti nelle tre sezioni di cinema, musica e teatro, dell’Academy di I MAKE.

OBIETTIVI GENERALI E SPECIFICI:

L’obiettivo generale del progetto è quello di creare un ambiente, sia fisico che concettuale, in cui le attività artistiche, culturali e sociali possano essere svolte direttamente dai giovani, con il supporto di esperti che forniscano loro competenze e professionalità già sperimentate e testate sul territorio italiano.

 Gli obiettivi specifici del progetto sono identificati in questo modo:

– Contribuire alla cultura e allo scambio di esperienze, attraverso le attività di laboratorio dedicate e condivise da parte dei giovani;

– Aumentare il valore dei giovani gruppi musicali ed artistici dando loro la possibilità di creare azioni di contaminazione culturale;

– Testare una strategia innovativa, cercando di contaminare le tradizionali performance artistiche e/o artigianali in nuove performance artistiche;

– Far conoscere le espressioni artistiche e culturali dei giovani (dall’arte grafica a quello musicale, dal teatro al cinema);

– Promuovere la cultura come una scelta professionale possibile e fattibile, migliorando le opportunità di creare reti attive tra i giovani dei territori;

– Promuovere un nuovo protagonismo dei giovani nella vita pubblica locale;

– Migliorare il senso di inclusione dei giovani all’interno delle comunità locali, prestando particolare attenzione a quei giovani a rischio di emarginazione e devianza;

– Sostenere i processi comunitari di cooperazione e considerarli come funzionali allo sviluppo di una determinata area;

– Sfruttare i modelli di partecipazione della cittadinanza attiva esistenti, consentendo così uno sviluppo che sia il più partecipato possibile.

IMAKE is a project of international cooperation, financed by ETCP Greece – Italy 2007/2013, created to enhance with the territories of Greece, especially with the town of Preveza, youthful experiences of success and already in the territory of Puglia, such as youth policy program called “Bollenti Spiriti”. Aim of the project is therefore to start from such experiences, however reinforcing the urban creativity in the fields of art, music, theater and languages ​​youth.

The project is promoted by GAL  “Terra dei Trulli e del Barsento”, territory consists of 7 municipalities in the province of Bari (Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Gioia del Colle, Noci, Putignano, Sammichele di Bari, Turi), as the lead partner, in partnership with Apulia Film Commission and the Municipality of Preveza in Greece.

AXIS OF INTERVENTION

1) A full program of seminars, workshops and multi-disciplinary laboratories, IMAKE will specialize professionals in various disciplines of the art (especially cinema, music and theater) and thus to developing mutually supportive strategies to support youth creativity.

2) At the end of the training courses will be organized in two editions of the International Festival of Arts (scheduled both in Italy and in Greece) for the dissemination of new artistic languages ​​experienced during the training phase

3) IMAKE will also continue to promote best practices have been present for some years in the Italian towns of Alberobello and Putignano (through the restoration and the operational start of 2 municipal buildings long abandoned and now used to promote the youth gathering and artistic production ). In the project are expected, in fact, interventions of urban regeneration, through the completion of the restoration of the structure present in the Municipality of Putignano (the former slaughterhouse today Putignano Urban Laboratory managed by the Consortium IMAKE).

4) The project I MAKE also plans to organize a study day devoted entirely to international cooperation (European Cooperation Day), in order to highlight the role of design in the field of trans-national and inter-cultural cohesion among European regions. Within the festival, there is the performance of the Laboratory “on the Mediterranean Cooperation” conducted by the Mediterranean, in partnership with the GAL Terra dei Trulli and Barsento, Apulia Film Commission, Puglia Sounds and Managing Authority ETCP Greece-Italy. At the workshop attended by all the participants involved in the three sections of film, music and theater, The Academy of MAKE.

GENERAL AND SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

The overall objective of the project is to create an environment, both physical and conceptual, in which the activities artistic, cultural and social can be carried out directly by young people, with the support of experts who provide their expertise and professionalism have already been tried and tested on Italian territory.
The specific objectives of the project are identified in this way:

– to contribute to the culture and the exchange of experiences, through laboratory activities dedicated and shared by young people;

Increase the value of artistic young bands and giving them the ability to create actions of cultural contamination;

Test an innovative strategy, trying to contaminate the traditional performance art and / or craft new artistic performances;

Have to know the artistic and cultural expressions of young people (from graphic art to the music, theater, cinema);

Promoting culture as a professional choice possible and feasible, enhancing opportunities to create active networks among young people of the territories;

Promote a new leading role of young people in local public life;

Improve the sense of inclusion of young people in local communities, paying particular attention to those young people at risk of marginalization and delinquency;

Support community processes of cooperation and consider them as useful to the development of a specific area;

Leverage participation patterns of active citizenship which exist, thus allowing a development that is the most attended as possible.
